Hi!!! c:

To my knowledge, none of us at BHFJ consume any type of alcohol.

&Here’s why:

The world that we live on is very judgmental. &If people who don’t know God see you drinking they honestly won’t take your relationship with Christ seriously, you know? It’ll be hard for them to see the difference Christ has made in your life when you are living the same way they are.

In the bible we are warned about alcohol because it’s very easy to abuse it.  God tells us not to get drunk. (Ephesians 5:18)

Getting drunk leads to: lying, adultery, swearing, cheating, hypocrisy, pride, or even blasphemy.

When most people think about alcohol the first thing that pops into their heads is “getting drunk”.

“It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.” - Romans 14:21

You can cause someone to stumble into sin by your actions. This is why to me it’s very important not to drink.

Even though the Bible never states, “Thou shalt not drink.” the Bible does give us some great reasons as to why we shouldn’t drink: Because..

  • Alcohol is easy to abuse.
  • Drinking is closely connected to a life without Christ.
  • We don’t want to cause anyone to stumble into sin.
  • And because we have a far superior satisfaction. Jesus Christ can satisfy you like nothing else can. Put your trust in the Lord, and ask Him to be your supreme satisfaction.

If your boyfriends alcohol consumption is bothering you, I suggest you confront him about it in a calm manner. Tell him that you feel it’s a huge barrier in your relationship with him and tell him why.

We hope everything works out for the best & we’ll be praying for you both! <3

bless you!!! <3
