I’m guessing, “smut fiction” is just sugar coated for porn fiction. 

It doesn’t matter whether you read it, watch it, or what type of porn it is

Porn is Porn is Porn. 

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.” - Matthew 5:27-28

“Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.” - 1 Corinthians 6:18

“Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.” - Colossians 3:5

Jesus tells us to be sexually pure, note that in Matthew 5:28 He says  that to even look at a woman lustfully is to commit adultery with her. When you’re reading smut books,  in your mind you’re imaging what’s happening. So, yes! what you’re reading is sinful!
