falling-into-creation asked: I need help for a friend. Do you have bible verses about hate? This is what my friend posted on his fb. "fuck this, fuck you, fuck everybody, fuck everything. God's got me close & that's all i need. IM OUT." and he said God will always be there for me through thick in thin, wrong and right, bad and good. If you only knew the relationship we have.. Many people have told me the same exact thing but EVERY time nomatter what He's answered my prayers, listened to me, and loved me for the person iam

Luke 6:45

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

1 John 3:15

Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

1 John 4:20

If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Proverbs 10:12

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

Ephesians 4:29

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Leviticus 19:17

“You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Proverbs 8:13

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

Anonymous asked: what are some verses about God's love for us and how to love ourselves?

Hey! I have some stellar verses on God’s love coming right at ya:

Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. who loved me and gave himself for me.

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, evenwhen we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

1 John 4:9-11 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

And for the verses on “how to love ourselves” not sure if there are any of those verses in the bible. BUT the bible does tell us to treat other the way we want to be treated Matthew 7:12 and to love our neighbor as ourselves Mark 12:31 and to do these things you have to love and respect yourself first. You can’t give to others what you don’t have.

If your having trouble loving yourself ask God to help you. Who better then love Himself?

God is Love - 1 John 4:8

Anonymous asked: I Have a problem BHFJ :( I noticed that this past few days, my hunger and thirst for God's words are getting low or i'm losing appetite like that, I always do other unimportant things than to read God's words. I'm getting weak :((( What should I do? Please I need your advice.... Thank you so much!! More power to you guys!

“But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People need more than bread for their life; they must feed on every word of God.’ ” - Matthew 4:4

“And the Scriptures were written to teach and encourage us by giving us hope.” - Romans 15:4

“It is not the flesh that gives a person life. It is the spirit that gives life. The words I told you are spirit, and so they give life.” - John 6:63

You have to, have to, have to read your bible!

Don’t put off reading your bible for more then two months or one month, or even 3 weeks.  What I’m about to write is going to be very nerdyish but heck with it, I’m a nerd and I really don’t care.

Just like a car needs gasoline to run on, you need your spiritual fuel to run on, that spirituel fuel being your bible, so fuel up and read!

There is not other way you will stop feeling “weak” if you don’t get your energy from where you need it most readin your bible. READ ON!

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.” - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Anonymous asked: Hey guys! What does it mean to "carry your own cross" Luke 14:27. I googled it and most people say it means bearing the difficulties we come across and stuff, but aren't we supposed to leave them at Christ's feet and not carry them?

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” - Matthew 14:24

“Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” - Luke 14:27

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20

These verses focus on self-denial or more commonly known as “dying to self”.  Which means we have to seek after God himself and in doing so, putting away all things (fleshly desires) that keep us from finding God or learning more about God. “Carry your own cross” denying ourselves and doing Gods’ will for us to be done here on earth. WHEN we do it, we have to do so willingly, joyfully, with a passion even though it means going through some pain. Just because we are christians it doesn’t exempt from pain, Jesus went thru pain just to get to His destination and in doing so we are alive in Him.

You see, there’s a cost to being a disciple of Christ.

Take a look at Luke 14:25:33:

“Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?  For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’

“Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.” - Luke 14:24-33

Following Christ is a commitment, a consecration, and a calling.  It is self-denial.  HE>i

Well, those are my two cents.

God Bless!

Anonymous asked: On Sunday I plan to testify about how God helped me pass my drivers test. I know that for some it seems like nothing, but it only because of his grace that I was able to pass. I want to share a bible verse too, but I don't really know which one. I was thinking somewhere along psalms 91. Do you have any other verses? I just want to express my gratitude for him.

No, no, that’s not nothing, that’s definitely something! Don’t let anyone make you doubt that. It’s utterly amazing that God helped you pass!! All Glory to God always! ^u^

Sometimes it may feel like God only cares about the big problems and issues in our lives, but no that’s so far from true. God also cares about the itty-bitty pea size ones as well because He loves us and wants the best for us in anything and everything. <3

Psalm 91 would be a good bible verse to use! Ones that I would recommend for you would be these:

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” - Hebrews 13:5a

”With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!” Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this - heart and soul - will ever regret it.” It’s exactly the same no matter what a person’s religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help.  ”Everyone who calls, ‘Help, God!’ gets help.” But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them?  And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That’s why Scripture exclaims, A sight to take your breath away! Grand processions of people telling all the good things of God!  But not everybody is ready for this, ready to see and hear and act. Isaiah asked what we all ask at one time or another: “Does anyone care, God? Is anyone listening and believing a word of it?” The point is, Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ’s Word is preached, there’s nothing to listen to.  But haven’t there been plenty of opportunities for Israel to listen and understand what’s going on? Plenty, I’d say. Preachers’ voices have gone ‘round the world, Their message to earth’s seven seas. So the big question is, Why didn’t Israel understand that she had no corner on this message? Moses had it right when he predicted, When you see God reach out to those you consider your inferiors - outsiders! - you’ll become insanely jealous. When you see God reach out to people you think are religiously stupid, you’ll throw temper tantrums. Isaiah dared to speak out these words of God: People found and welcomed me who never so much as looked for me. And I found and welcomed people who had never even asked about me. 21 Then he capped it with a damning indictment: Day after day after day, I beckoned Israel with open arms, And got nothing for my trouble but cold shoulders and icy stares.” - Romans 10:10-21

I think it’s so cool that you’re going to testify about this!! :o

I really hope I helped! God bless you, lovely, love!!! c:

Anonymous asked: Hi I was wondering if you knew any bible verses or stories from the bible about being commited to God and not giving up no matter what the situation might be.

AWH CHYEAH! Check out the story of Noah! :D :O :)

That man was nothing but righteously committed to God!!!

When God told him to do something he followed through with it!

I’ll bet people even publicly humiliated him for the fact he was building an ark and gathering a butt load of animals!

haha. Wouldn’t you maybe have though he was loony? It’s a pretty insane story!

And even so, he didn’t listen to what people thought or said. He didn’t take their words to heart. He followed through no matter what and did what God asked of him.

And as a result; He built a BODACIOUSLY HUGE ARK! And lived along with his family and loads of animals.

Yep. Pretty stellar story. :]

sing-hallelujah asked: I have 2 questions. In Matthew 5:13, what did Jesus mean by, "what good is salt if it has lost it's flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless." Please clarify. Also, Matthew 5:27-30, Jesus said to gouge out your eye for looking at a woman lustfully and cut off your hands if they cause you to sin. can you explain that to me as well? Should we literally be gouging out our eyes and cutting off our hands? I know it sounds silly, I'm just confused.

HELLO! :D  AWH No worries, friend. Asking questions is awesomesauce! So high five to you! *virtual high five* <— Now that’s whats up! lol

You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13

Salt is a mineral with lasting effects! When Jesus is say’s “You are the salt of the earth.” He’s saying that those who follow Him are like salt: They are called to make a difference in the world. The difference we make is “the flavor”. The good works we do are to shine like a light on a lamp stand, and good works that witness for Christ in a darkened world. Those who believe and abide to God are the salt of the earth. And those who don’t abide and love God with their all and who take part in causing others to stumble.. are not like salt and light to the world (weak Christians) hence: flavorless salt.

Parallel scriptures to Matthew 5:13 are:

For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.  Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it?  Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.” (Mark 9:49-50)

Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? it is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out.  He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Luke 14: 34-35)

Salt is good [an excellent thing], but if salt has lost its strength and has become saltless (insipid, flat), how shall its saltiness be restored? It is fit neither for the land nor for the manure heap; men throw it away. He who has ears to hear, let him listen and consider and comprehend by hearing!” (Luke 14:34-35, Amplified Bible)

EEK O.O ! haha Jesus would never want someone to cut their arm off!

He meant that life dominating sins must be dealt with in a radical way.

So, if your sin is sexual, stay away from those things that cause the urge. Strip joints, adult books stores, even the Internet if necessary.

You have to “cut off” the sources of your temptations, and deal with them. God provides us a way out of them. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

And that’ll keep your heart strings clean.

*J E S U S -  H E E L C L I C K! :D *

Peace out home skillet!

Anonymous asked: Hi, can you explain 1 Corinthians chapter 5? From reading it, it made me confused, it made it seem like God won't forgive believers that engage in sexual sin..

In this letter the apostle Paul is writing to the Corinthian Church since this church was just turning their heads, showing their open mindedness and their acceptance to a certain church member who was living in sin without repenting of it. In 1 Corinthians 5:1 we find out that this man is having sexual relations with his father’s wife.

The people in this church wouldn’t even confront this man about this, and instead they just hoped that the sin this man was committing, and kept committing.. would just magically go away on its own.

&If you think about it, these people were kind of prideful and boastful in their actions. In their minds they probably thought “sin is in our congregation..but it’s alright nothing is going to happen, it won’t effect us…this man is not our problem.”

This is very prideful thinking and Paul knew this. So in this letter Paul is rebuking the church’s actions saying “Absolutely not! That is not the way to life that is the way to death!”

This word says that a brother or sister should be expelled. A lifestyle of disobedience needs to be put out of the church. “Handing him over to Satan” means that in the darkness, you’ll be brought to the realization of who you really are (your light will shine) and you will come back to God. (This is giving this man a chance to repent)

“hand such a person over to Satan to destroy his corrupt nature so that his spiritual nature may be saved on the day of the Lord.” - 1 Corinthians 5:5

Some churches nowadays say that everyone is responsible for his/her own action and they don’t find the need to solve it. But we are part of the body and we complete each other and one person sinning willingly in our congregation does effect us.

If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” - 1 Corinthians 12:26

We are one body. The body of Christ. Moreover, some would say that we shouldn’t judge other people because of what Jesus said “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” - Matthew 7:1 and that’s true, but what Paul is talking about here, if there is a sin or a behavior shown and known within the church, as parts of the body, we should condemn that sin and help and show support to our brother or sister, so that branch would join again and company the body of christ as a healthy part.

There is a huge difference between a person who comes into a church really wants to change but doesn’t know how and a person who has been in a church congregation for more than a year and despite the messages that have been preached they still don’t want to change and continue living in sin without any guilt.

If the person wants help, then they are alright (this person is living under grace) but if the person sins blatantly, then they have to leave.

God bless!
