Anonymous asked: What do you personally think of the Latter-Day Saints? Aka the Mormons, Do you think the Book of Mormon really does support the Bible and the Bible supports the Book of Mormon? It makes sense, if you think of it, that Christ would visit the Americas, to fulfill the Prophecies and promises. Have you read the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Christ, before? I'm reading it right now and I just want another input :)

The book of Mormon contradicts the bible, it contradicts history as we know it and it contradicts itself. 

I’ll give you ten examples: 

1. In Alma 7:10 (book of Mormon) it says Jesus was born in Jerusalem which contradicts the bible in Matthew 2:1 where it says Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

2. In 1 Nephi 18:25 (book of Mormon) it talks about horses being in America in 590-589 BC but horses didn’t exist in America until the 16th Century.

3. In Alma 34:36 (book of mormon) says that God dwells in heart but in Doctrine and Covenants Section 130:22 it says God does not dwell in heart

4. The book of Mormon teaches there is only 1 God (Alma 11:28) but Mormon Doctrine teaches that there are many gods (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 5.)

5. The book of Mormon, Alma 41:81 it says God’s word is unchangeable but if you take a look at Doctrine and Covenants Section 56:4-5 it says God’s word is changeable. 

6. The book of Mormon says Hell is Eternal (Jacob 3:11) but yet Mormon Doctrine states that Hell isn’t eternal. (James Talmage, Articles of Faith, p. 55)

7. The book of Mormon says God is unchanging (Alma 41:8) and Mormon Doctrine says God is increasing in knowledge everyday. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 120.)

8. I Luke 23:44 (the bible) it says there were three hours of darkness at the crucifixion of Christ and the book of Mormon says there were 3 days of darkness (Hel 14:20-27). 

9. In Colossians 1:18 (the bible) it says God is the head of the church. The book of Mormon says Joe Smith is the head of the church (Doctrine and Covenants Section 28:2-6)

10. In the book of Mormon 3 Nephi 30:2 it says Murder can be forgiven but in Doctrine and Covenants Section 42:18 it says murder can not be forgiven.

These aren’t the only place it contradicts itself there are many more places just look them up. The book of Mormon is not of God. God wouldn’t contradict Himself.
