That’s not a very wise thing to do. Especially with the SOPA/PIPA act going on right now. Many sites like btjunkie, Megaupload, Mediafire, Youtube etc.. are being monitored as to who downloads what so that they can fine you. 

Recently, A kid in the UK is in court for just linking a website (like Mediafire) to download movies, music (copy right material.)

Read Romans 13:1-7.

Just follow the laws and be safe. Don’t do something that will lead to an aftermath full of consequences. Throughout the entire bible, in every story every verse, we can see that God gave us a free will to choose. (Genesis 3:1-6, Matthew 4:1-11) but that doesn’t mean the choice we make will be good.

Follow what God wants and be obedient to Him. The righteous abide to His will and Hi word. And God never lets the righteous one fall, ever. (Psalm 55:22, John 15:7)

I can give my my opinion on books and movies and music. And you might agree or might disagree. But it’s God who tells us to not conform to the ways of the world and its views and opinions. (R12:2) I think sometimes, we tend to focus one a piece of scripture or two small verses that seem to run parallels with what we want to believe or that seem to support what we want to hear.. but that’s not how it works. We really have to Read God’s word, both Old and New Testament. All books compliment and back each other up. It never changes because God never changes (Numbers 23:19, Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8, James 1:17)

Secular music is always for self glory and most usually, the writer or band gets big headed and filled with pride.

It’s about money and putting on a show. There are even Christian artists who live for fame instead of giving glory to God and living a humble life. What good is salt is its lost its flavor? (Matthew 5:13)

What good is a book if it doesn’t help you to grow in your walk with God?? What good is a book if it puts you at a spiritual pause in your relationship with Jesus? What good is a movie if it shows sexual stuff, brings lust or has cursing in it? What positivity do you find in cartoons that have demonic messages in them? Why would you want to have, listen or see something that is going to cause you to stumble? Why would you want something that invited the enemy into your house? To break family’s apart? To bring troubles…?

 Video Games can be butt loads of fun.. but they can also be very time consuming. Millions of  kids and adults idolize video games. Many marriages have fallen because of the wrong use of them. Kids are failing in school because of wasting so much time on them. It’s become an obsession. Games have evolved into something so time consuming. It’s so different from what it used to be when they first came out. Even to the point where people live a double life when online gaming. Some people even live their life in that game. 

 Is it just lack responsibility? Or could it be hidden messages..? You can’t really tell with how todays media works. 

There are some (very few) pure games out there, but the majority contradict scripture and what God wants from us. The US Army even uses video games to mindset a soldier to prepare themselves kill people when engaged in real live war. 

I use to be a huge gamer. I got so good at playing Halo 2 and 3 that my fiend offered me a spot to join his sponsored team for MLG (Major League Gaming). I had a mindset for it to become my career. I spent hours playing and my mind was usually always thinking about the game. I was so obsessed with it. I even was one of the first ones to discover super-bouncing in Halo 2. It became a big obsession and my mind was no where near living a life for God. And I used to think I was living right. A normal life of what I wanted to do thinking that going to church was good enough. But I was wrong…

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8

The truth is hard to admit and see. It’s never easy to accept it let alone, live it. But truth sets us free. (John 8:32) For some, it might take time to realize whats wrong and whats right through God’s eyes. God’s ways are not our ways. (Isaiah 58:8-9)God’s logic goes beyond all human understanding. 

There’s so many things that we’ve let rip us off from what God’s called us to do. I feel like life’s too short for that. And I don’t know when it will be, but I know that between now and then, each of us has got a lot of living to do. Living for Christ with our all. Focusing on the very thing, the very one who gave His whole life away, for us. 

 Read God’s word. Let Him edify you through it. The Bible is epic and it’s the true road guide map for our lives!

That’s a very good question!

As a Christian, books like those aren’t good for us to read. e.g Harry Potter, Twilight, New Moon, Potc, any New Age book etc.

Reading/watching these types of films or reading these types of books doesn’t do anything for your spirit.

Now don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that all books and movies are bad to read or watch. Just those that contain: witchcraft, demons, and other things that God repeatedly says He despises in the bible. 

Reading and or Viewing these types of things open doors from the spiritual realm and invite evil spirits into your home.

You should read the Old Testament and find all the gods mentioned. The jews worshiped these gods and were punished by Yahweh. Ashtoreth and Baal are two of the many gods listed in the bible. Once you come to know who these gods are, you will know what is good or bad to read or watch.

The truth shall set you free and the whole truth is in the bible.
