The Bible does warn against worshipping other Gods.

Exodus 20:3 – “Do not worship any other gods besides me.” (NLT)

2 Kings 21:6 – “Manasseh even sacrificed his own son in the fire. He practices sorcery and divination, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the Lord’s sight, arousing his anger.” (NLT)

Deuteronomy 4:19 – “And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. (NIV)

Isaiah 47:13 – “All the counsel you have received has only worn you out! Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you. Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. Here are no coals to warm anyone; here is no fire to sit by.” (NIV)

The Bible states that the stars, along with the sun and moon, were created to give light to the Earth. God is the one who gives Christians advice. 

 Astrology is just one of the many forms of occultism that the Bible condemns.

It is interesting to note that astrology is linked here to sorcery and enchantment. According to the plain teaching of the Bible, these things are in the devil’s domain and ultimately you will receive nothing but a curse when you go to the devil for help and advice.

Astrology teaches a worldview which is basically pagan in orientation. It is basically a form of divination - an attempt by occult means of gaining special knowledge, especially concerning the future. Belief in astrology is promoted wherever the occult arts are promoted. God condemns divination and the reason is simple. The power of the occult is not from the stars, the tea leaves, the candles, the material elements used. The source of occult knowledge and power is personal and it is spiritual. The spirits involved in it are those that lead a person away from loving trust and dependence upon God our Creator. God therefore views these spirits as evil. They mix a little truth with their lies. Another name for these evil spirits is “demons”. As unacceptable as it sounds to many ears - those who get involved in any of the occultic arts, including astrology, are opening themselves to become channels for demons.

Whoa dude! Let’s get down to some business.

Alright brah. first of all, a horoscope might seem like harmless epic fun but in reality it’s a foot in the door technique that the enemy (AKA: little ol’ Satan) uses to wear down your standards. If you’re seeking for knowledge and confidence about the future, that’s great but God wants you to seek Him. Not your horoscope or local psychic for answers. 

Don’t believe me?? Check out Isaiah 47: 13.15

You might say “Oh, well.. astrology is no big deal, it’s just for fun.” 

But the truth is, that line doesn’t go very far with God. 

You see, God is crystal clear about these kinds of methods of gaining personal guidance apart from Him. He hates them. He hates all that junk. 

Look up Deuteronomy 18:10.12

The Assyrians and Chaldeans (from Babylon) consulted the stars and God destroyed all of Babylon for that reason. God don’t mess around with this stuff!
