Society gives us this image of what beautiful looks like. The girls/ women in the magazines, movies, TV shows, whatever. We’re told that if we don’t have the right body, the right look then we’re not beautiful. This, my friends, is false. God made us all perfectly. We are all beautiful in His eyes.
1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
You don’t have to be “curvy”. That’s not necessary. Whether you have a body with curves or without curves, you’re still beautiful. You’re body type could be an hourglass, a pear, an apple, a banana, or anything and you will be beautiful. You can be stick thin, heavy-set, or anywhere in between and you’re still beautiful. Why? Because beauty comes from within. God looks at what’s on the inside - what’s in our hearts - not what our outward appearance is. He made you beautiful inside and out but if you’re society’s beautiful but you don’t have Jesus in your heart and you don’t live a Christ-like life, then it doesn’t matter.
Psalm 139:14
I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
And can I just talk about this whole “thigh gap” issue?
Having a gap between your legs also does not define if you’re beautiful or not. It doesn’t now, nor will it ever. If you have a gap between your legs naturally and that is just your body type, that is great. (Here comes a short thought on dieting…) But if you try to lose weight so that you have that space between your thighs, ask yourself this first: Am I healthy now? Do I need to lose weight for my health? Think healthy - not skinny, not underweight, not thigh gap. HEALTHY. The whole idea of losing weight to have a gap between your thighs is ridiculous.
Everyone has different body types and different statuses of healthy, so how can you possibly choose ONE that is better and above all others that is the only beautiful way to look? You can’t. That’s not right because not everyone can look like that. Beauty doesn’t stem from a look that Hollywood has picked out for us. It stems from what’s in your heart. It stems from what God cares about - your heart. That’s it. That’s all there is to it.
1 Peter 3:3-4
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
Song of Solomon 4:7
All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you.
Anonymous asked: Hello peeps! :D So this has been bugging me for a while but what do you think God thinks about people trying to achieve flat abs and certain looks when working out? I know it's good to exercise and take care of your body but i've been feeling pressured to try to look amazing and what not you know? It's annoying :c Thanks for the help! :P
Hey, friend! There’s nothing wrong with working out! In fact I believe God would want us to work out, ya know? It keeps our bodies healthy which is what God wants us to do!
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
I’m pretty certain God doesn’t mind us working out a certain body part to tone it or build muscle on it, just as long as we do it for the right reasons and not get too crazy with it and have turn into an addiction/obsession.
If your reason for exercising is to attempt to reach perfection (to look like a model in a magazine) then you’re not exercising for the correct reasons and doing something like that can cause you to stumble into an unhealthy state which is what God doesn’t want for you.
If you’re having trouble with self esteem issues true recovery from this comes when you deal with the root of the problem in your life:
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” - Psalm 139:23-24

stumbledin2faith asked: Hello :), I have a question. I'm very unattractive and I believe this is why I will forever be alone. I've kinda already came to terms with that fact but what I want to know is why would God make unattractive people? Especially people so repulsive nobody wants to be around them?
No, don’t think that way!! D:
God creates gorgeous, beautiful, all around amazing and astonishing things, creatures, humans. Don’t fall into the way society wants you to think. God doesn’t make anyone “unattractive”.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! YOU ARE YOU!! &DON’T EVER STOP BEING YOU BECAUSE THERE IS NO ONE MORE YOUER THEN YOU!!

(P.S: This blog is amazing and its helped me out a lot) <3 thanks ^^
hi! c:
Remind yourself daily what God thinks of you. God chose you for a reason and you are very special to Him, you have a place in His family that only you could fill. (1 Corinthians 12:14-20) Also remind yourself daily of all the positives things about you, make a list and keep somewhere where you will see it daily. Start building up your confidence join a club at school, talk to some classmates you don’t know too well, raise your hand in class at least once daily. now keep in mind this isn’t going to happen overnight.
Keep these things in mind:
- You are perfect in God’s sight.(Hebrews 10:14)
- You are close to God. (Ephesians 2:13)
- You are God’s child.(1 John 3:1)
- He will never abandon you.(Hebrews 13:5)
- You have access to God at any given moment. (Ephesians 2:18)
Also ask God (keep it in prayer) to help you overcome your weakness because through Christ we can overcome anything!!
” ‘My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.’ Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9
God bless you!! <3

Anonymous asked: Hey guys, so i need a little advice. I'm an 18 year old girl that's healthy and an average weight for my height. I love working out and eating healthy, however sometimes it's really hard for me because i get caught up in the way society thinks people should look and i feel that i can become obsessive about it. I've never starved myself or anything but how can i stay strong and be who the person God wants me to be and not society?
That’s so awesome that you love working out and being healthy! But just make sure that your doing all this for the right reason and not because you believe this is what society wants you to do or wants you to look like.
Honestly, society is so messed up right now, so don’t believe a word of it. All those pictures in magazines are photoshoped hardcore so these “perfect” looking people they create don’t even exist. Don’t let the media brain wash you into thinking your not good enough, your not pretty enough, your not skinny enough. That’s satan through them trying to deceive you, trying to tear you down, trying to break up your relationship with God. Don’t let him. We hear enough of his lies everyday. Pray and ask God for strength to stand up to him and not to be deceived by him.
Keep in mind that Jesus loves for who you are, not what you look like and His opinion is the only one that matters, so keep trusting in Jesus and don’t take your eyes off Him not even for one second.
God made beautiful things, beautiful creations, and you’re beautiful just the way you are, you don’t need to change anything about yourself. God wouldn’t want you to and neither would we. We love you, but most importantly God loves you.
God bless you!! <3

Anonymous asked: I've been thinking about getting my nose done but I'm struggling with the decision, I know God made us perfectly and we should accept the way we are, but sometimes I can't. My nose is big and I'd just like it to be a bit smaller, I just want to feel prettier not really for anyone else just for myself. I know inner beauty is what matters, but I really really want this sometimes. My family is christian and even my mom wants to do it, my dad wants her to, and it angers me at first and then I -
We ourselves are our own worst critics. When we see something we don’t like about ourselves (could be the littlest thing) we beat ourselves up about them time and time again. Sometimes due to our constant criticism against ourselves we imagine our “flaw” to be greater then it actually is.
God made us in His own image (Genesis 1:27) & everything that creates is good. God didn’t make any mistakes when he created you&I know you’re beautiful inside and out. Everything/everyone God creates is beautiful <3. You’re fearfully and wonderfully made. You don’t need any silly nose job. You’re perfect just the way you are. You’re the daughter of the King of Kings and you don’t need to change a thing about your appearance.
“You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.” - Songs of Solomon 4:7
God bless <3
