Anonymous asked: I had a friend who came out as transgender in highschool, and we grew apart when we went to college because I didn't agree with his decision and he had changed so much that I felt like I didn't know him anymore as he started to become more feminine. It's been years since we spoke, but he contacted me wondering we grew apart offering to "educate me" on his decision so we can be friends. Is this a good opportunity to witness to him? How can I handle this without hurting his view of Christianity?

You know, it’s a wonderful thing that you have that desire in your heart to witness to your friend, but I would suggest that you just keep them in prayer and not force them to believe.

I say this because it sounds like your friend just wants to debate with you.

Remember what God says in His word,

• Don’t argue with a fool. - Proverbs 26:4-14 
• He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. - Proverbs 13:20

Now this does not mean that you can’t talk to your friend, but I wouldn’t have him as a close friend. Just pray for them and believe that through those prayers God will move in their life and lead them to all truth.

Faith will see mountains lift and move.

Submit to God. Read His word and read your bible. And above all, pray. And ask God what He wants you to do and what He thinks of this, but really listen to what He says and not to what you or anyone wants to tell you. Have a personal encounter with God. Sometimes the right choice is the hardest to accept and the toughest to follow. Sometimes the answer is right under us, but we choose to ignore it because we want to hear what we want to hear and not what God wants us to hear. But I promise you this, if you stand still and listen to God, He will guide you in the right direction. 

And He’ll do that because He loves you. 

Let Him transform you.

Lol. Yeah I know of a verse.

“A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.”  - Deuteronomy 22:5

People who undergo surgery to become the opposite sex have no choice but to wear the opposite genders clothing. *shrug* I guess this verse puts it all into perspective.

God made man, man and woman, woman. We shouldn’t go against what God has called us to be.
